John and Xenia's wedding website
Our Story
John and Xenia met July 04th, 2004 at Ross Point
Church Camp and began dating just over two weeks later. John was
going to WSU through the head-start program while Xenia was going to
high school, so John regularly rode his bike the ten miles to Moscow
for visits.
John joined the Army in April of 2006 and left for Fort Sill,
Oklahoma. By October, John was permanently stationed at Fort Bragg,
North Carolina. On June 06th, 2007, Xenia's last day of
high school, John was deployed to Iraq for thirteen months.
Throughout our long distance relationship, we have sometimes faced
difficulties, but grew closer together during John's deployment.
We became officially engaged on August 23rd when John proposed in front of his family and friends at his homecoming party. In January 2009, John transferred to Fort Lewis, Washington after reenlisting.
